The short version

We do not collect any data about you through the app. The app has no accounts, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no crash reporting, and it never sends anything about you to us or to anyone else. Everything you enter stays on your device.

What the app stores on your device

To work, the app keeps these items in a small database on your own device:

• your name (shown in the greeting and in messages)

• your gender choice (male, female or prefer not to say), which only decides which options are shown

• your town or city, with its coordinates and time zone, used to work out prayer times

• your prayer log: which prayers you marked as prayed, missed, made up or exempt, and which optional units you prayed

• your settings (calculation method, reminders, display choices)

This information never leaves your device because of anything the app does. We cannot see it, we do not have a copy, and we cannot recover it for you.

Some of this information can be sensitive (for example, it can reveal your religious practice or, if you use the exempt option, health-related information). Because it stays on your device and we never receive it, we do not process it. You are the only person in control of it.

Your location

The app asks for your device location only if you tap "Use my current location" when choosing your town or city. The location is used once, on your device, to find the nearest town or city in a list that is bundled inside the app. It is not sent anywhere. You can instead type your town or city, or enter coordinates yourself. You can decline the permission and still use the app fully.

Notifications

If you allow them, the app shows prayer reminders. They are created and scheduled on your device. No notification service of ours is involved. On some Android versions the app asks you to allow "exact alarms" so reminders arrive on time.

Backups and exports

Backup by your phone's operating system. Your device may include the app's data in its own backup (Google backup on Android, iCloud or computer backup on iPhone), depending on your device settings. That backup is made and held by Google or Apple under their terms and privacy policies, not by us. You can turn it off in your device settings.

Export and restore. The app can create a backup file that you save or share yourself, and restore from a file you choose. We never receive these files. Keep them somewhere safe: anyone who has the file can read what is in it.

If you contact us

The only personal information we ever receive is what you choose to send us, for example when you email support@eliteaurahomes.co.uk. That is your email address and the content of your message. We use it only to answer you and to improve the app, we do not share it or use it for marketing, and our legal basis is our legitimate interest in answering the people who contact us. We keep support emails for 12 months after the conversation ends and then delete them. For this email, ELITE AURA HOMES LTD is the data controller.

Third parties

The app contains no third-party analytics, advertising or tracking code. It uses open-source components and data on your device only (listed on the app's About screen: praytime.js (MIT licence), GeoNames city data (CC BY 4.0), Material Icons (Apache 2.0), Open Sans, SQLite).

The app stores (Google Play and Apple App Store) collect their own information when you download the app, under their own policies. We do not receive your personal information from them.

Children

The app is not for children under 13, and we ask that children under 13 do not use it. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.

Requesting deletion of your data

Data stored in the app. We hold none, so we have nothing to delete. To remove everything the app stores, you can:

1. delete the app from your device, which removes its database, or

2. on Android, open Settings > Apps > Prayer Tracker > Storage and choose Clear storage (on iPhone, delete the app).

Backups made by Google or Apple, and any file you exported from the app, are held by you or by them, not by us. Delete them in your Google or Apple account settings or from wherever you saved the file.

Information you sent us. To ask us to delete an email or any other information you sent us, email support@eliteaurahomes.co.uk from the same address with the subject "Delete my data". We will confirm when it is done, normally within one month. We may need to check that the request comes from you.

There is no account to delete, because the app does not create accounts.

Security

Your data is kept in the app's private storage on your device and is protected by your device's own security (screen lock, encryption). Nothing is transmitted, so there is no data in transit to protect.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you have rights over personal data that an organisation holds about you (to be informed, to access, correct, erase, restrict, object and move it). We hold no personal data about you through the app, so there is nothing for those rights to apply to, apart from anything you email us (see above). If you have a question, email support@eliteaurahomes.co.uk. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes to this policy

If the app ever changes in a way that affects your privacy, we will update this policy and the app before the change, and the effective date above will change. We will not start collecting data without making that clear.
